How much does a wedding and reception cost at the Historic Longview Mansion?
The exclusive use of the Mansion
is yours for that special day. Our event planners are available to advise and
recommend a package uniquely yours. Each wedding and reception is personalized
resulting in fees relative to the number of guests, menu and bar service selected. |
How many hours can my event last?
Weddings are permitted a 3 hours use of the Mansion.
A wedding with reception are permitted 10 hours use of the Mansion.
A reception is allowed up to 6 hours.
Additional time is available at an hourly charge, depending on the day of the week.
Weekend events must conclude by 12 midnight.
Week day events must conclude by 11:00 p.m.

How many guests can you accommodate?
The Mansion can accommodate up to 325 guests in the Library, West Sun porch,
South Sun Porch, Dining Room and the South Pavilion. You will want to discuss
specific room use and table layouts with our event planners.
Do you have a chef on site?
The Historic Longview Mansion boasts an acclaimed Executive Chef and a talented Pastry
Chef preparing sumptuous, gourmet items from our menu, or any special requests you may
have. Outside catering is not permitted.
Our menu offers a complete section of popular and signature items. Choose from four
catering packages: light, passed hors d’oeuvres, a complete hors d’oeuvres buffet,
a sit down buffet or a plated sit down dinner service* - each of superior quality,
prepared fresh on site by our Executive Chef and his team.

Describe your accommodations?
When you approach the Historic Longview Mansion, you pass our magnificent sunken fountain gardens. As you make your way up the lamp lit drive you’ll be surrounded by the private, lush, manicured grounds. The perfect blend of old and new, the Longview Mansion is a grand home of yesteryear from the moment you enter the Grand Foyer graced by two staircases and black marble fireplace to the private dining room featuring a carved, limestone fireplace and separate, paneled Library with a fireplace. Both adorned with large, enclosed sun porches. There is ample from for guests, musicians, parking and even loved, family pets (horses and dogs are frequent wedding party members).
The beautifully appointed Bridal Suite features a private bath, separate make up room, and a beautiful sunlit porch. Located in the west wing, bridal parties enjoy vista views of the fountain gardens. The gentlemen may retire in the grand Groom’s retreat in the east wing. These salons are designed so each of you can relax and prepare privately with your family and attendants for your big event.
A State-of-the-Art, all weather Pavilion adjoins our south sun porch. This is the perfect spot for large group entertaining. Complete with giant chandeliers, spot-lighting, carpeting and a wooden dance floor, it is an exquisite venue in which to host a large reception.
How do I get there?
We’re easy to find. We are just 2 miles south of I-470 on View High Drive.
Continue south and follow the way-finding sings to Longview farm Drive.
How far in advance should I reserve the Historic Longview Mansion?
As one of Kansas City’s premier event venues, we book events as far as two years in advance.
If you have a date in mind, please contact us as soon as possible and practical.
