In addition to Longview Mansion’s indoor event rooms, you can also choose from numerous outdoor spaces located on a sprawling 10 acres. Among the cultivated gardens, wooded sites and native prairie fields you will find quiet paths, gazebos and intimate lake settings.
Architectural structures from the original horse farm remains to offer gorgeous photography venues. The beautifully landscaped property includes two outdoor ceremony locations for your outdoor wedding. The Historic Sunken Garden and The West Lawn both provide an elegant natural backdrop to your big day. Imagine yourself exchanging vows near an ornate fountain while encircled by your bridal party who are outlined by the curves of a manicured hedge. Or envision a flowering archway with the sunset as your backdrop.

The Pavilion
The Pavilion is a permanent structure on the property that seats up to 270 guests. Whether you’re looking for a space for your ceremony or reception, The Pavilion is a great option year round.
The Library
The Library space inside The Historic Longview Mansion is a beautiful space for a more intimate wedding ceremony, seating up to 70 guests.
Bridal Party Suites
The mansion boasts spacious, well-appointed suites for the entire bridal party. Occupying much of second floor, these luxurious rooms feature specially-curated modern interior design blended with furnishings reflective of the mansion’s era.

Included in your package are onsite event management, dedicated service staff, and the expertise of our professional chef. From your first consultation forward, your designated wedding consultant will be at your side, and help you realize the wedding of your dreams.
STEP 1: Set Your Wedding Date
Securing your date is an important first step and are often made 12 to 18 months in advance. The more flexibility you have with your date, the more options will be available to you.

STEP 2: Choose Your Ceremony Package
Only one event per day is hosted at The Historic Longview Mansion, giving you flexibility to start your day in the morning or afternoon, and stay as late as 11:30 pm, choosing from our many indoor and outdoor settings for your ceremony and reception.

STEP 3: Select Your Menu Package
Our menus are structured for easy decision-making and price management. However, we will happily work with you to customize your menu to your preferences. Our resident executive chef has years of experience crafting dishes and executing service that has delighted discerning palates at some of Kansas City’s premier dining venues.
STEP 4: Pick Your Bar Package
From cash bar service to hosted premium bars with signature cocktail menus, our beverage director will help you design a unique bar package for your reception. Choose your favorite selections and service times, and your event staff will serve your guests professionally and efficiently.
STEP 5: Plan Your Details
From start to finish, our event teams are with you every step of the way. We’ll help with customization of your package selections; design and décor; vendor recommendations and coordination; and onsite organization and direction during your rehearsal, ceremony and reception.
