General Manager

As general manager, Kim Fowler is responsible for the viability of the business, marketing, staff management and ensuring that brides and planners get the event of their dreams. Prior to opening the rehabbed Mansion she was owner/operator of the The Portable Chef catering business for nearly three decades. Understanding what it takes to keep all the parts running smooth as silk, Kim has put together a high quality team of Event and Catering professionals who are passionate about creating a superb experience for each client. She is proud to be involved with the transformation of The Historic Longview Mansion from a hidden gem into one of Kansas City’s premier estate venues.

Event Manager and Ceremony Specialist

Lisa Edzards comes to Longview Mansion with over 20 years in the catering and special events industry. Her professional background, coupled with her eagerness to provide every client with unparalleled service, makes Lisa an invaluable member of the Longview Mansion team. Lisa familiarizes you with the special services available, while helping you gain a clear understanding of every cost and detail that our packages include. With Lisa’s experience at wedding planning, she is able to help plan your ideal ceremony and a reception that will please your wedding guests.

Frank Migliazzo is the Business Manager at The Historic Longview Mansion and also the father of Kim Fowler – creating a genuine family vibe. But Frank’s real title should be “Doer of Everything” because there is very little that he can’t or already hasn’t done for the restoration and management of this property. This role combines preservation maintenance along with modern systems management for both the mansion and across the entire estate. A repository of knowledge, he has also become the newest curator of the original Longview Farms. Just ask – he’ll know the answer.

Leading the new culinary team at The Historic Longview Mansion is Executive Chef Cruz Vazquez. Chef Cruz brings her zeal for seasonal and local ingredients to the mansion. Her dedicated commitment to the quality of ingredients and authenticity of recipes result in delightfully fresh tastes! With over a decade of fine dining and hospitality experience, including at such renowned establishments as Lidia’s in Kansas City, Chef Cruz can guide you through the design of a crowd-pleasing menu for any event.
